Room 17 Holiday Book Exchange

To celebrate the spirit of the holidays, our class will be participating in a holiday book exchange with one another!

·      Please bring a new or gently used book WRAPPED by Wednesday, December 20^th.

·      Write “From: (and the name of your child)” on the wrapped book.

·      Do not write “To:” as students will be able to pick any of the books spread out on the table.

Please spend less than $5. If you are not able to for any reason, please email me and I will make sure your child has a book to hand out as a gift during our Holiday Party on Thursday, December 21^st.

Wednesday Dec. 20: Students will participate in Holidays around the world rotations with the rest of first grade. Students will "travel" to all first grade classrooms and will do an activity or play a game from a different country. 

Thursday Dec. 21:
Pajama Day! 
Holiday Book Exchange
We will have our Holiday Party after lunch. We will watch the Polar Express movie. Students will have hot chocolate, popcorn and cookies. 

Field Trip: I sent the permission slips yesterday. Please try to return those by next Thursday Dec. 21st before we go on Winter Break. We are going to the Birch Aquarium on Tuesday January 9th. So far I received 16 permission slips already. Thanks for being so prompt!


Winter Break: Dec. 22-Jan. 5- There will be no homework packet assigned! Enjoy your family time.
