Here are a couple of updates:

Spanish Language Arts: Traditions and Holidays
Math: Geometry
Social Studies: For the past two weeks we have focused in Goods and Services, we will start American Symbols next week.

Important Dates:

May 24th: Market Day
Friday May 25th: Patriotic Day, wear Red, White and Blue
Monday May 28th: Memorial Day (NO School)
June 1st-Volunteer Tea, our class will perform their dance. It is also Hawaiian dress, this attire fits perfectly with our Caribbean song.

Hello Parent, 

We will be having our annual dance performance on April 25th, our class will be performing between 5:00-5:30. Please refer to the flyer I e-mailed all of you for more details. 

The day of the performance student should wear:

Girls: Black leggings, black top and black shoes. I will be providing a tutu, flower for their hair and arm accessories. I will post more details in our blog as the date approaches. 

Boys: Black pants, black button up shirt and black shoes. I will provide some kind of accessory. 

We started practicing and the kiddos are loving it! 

This Friday, The Good Egg homework is due. There was not HW packet last week, homework resumed today. It has been posted and if you needed a hard copy I sent it today with your student.

This Friday, February 23rd, is Field Trip to see "The Little Mermaid" at the Joan Kroc Center . Thank you all for sending in your permissions slips promptly. We will be leaving at 9:00 a.m. Please make sure your child is on time to school.

Also please pack your child's lunch and water in a disposable bag.


Today I assigned students an Animal Research Project. It consists of a research report and diorama. The hard copy with specific instructions and animal that your child chose to research went home in the orange folders. This project is DUE FRIDAY MARCH 9th.

Hola Parents,


The homework for this week has been posted. Several important documents went home today in the orange folder.

1) A flyer with information for a Valentine's Day box project. This flyer has specific details for this project. The box will be used for students to place their Valentine's Day cards and is due
February 9th.  We have 23 students in our classroom (for those that are thinking of sending Valentine's Day cards. Students will have time to pass them out on February 14th. A reminder that CANDY is NOT permitted in school, so please don't send candy with your children's cards.

2) Online Resources: You will find a letter for a great English online resource that is paid by our school. The flyer tells you how to sign in and it has your child's login information (you can either visit the website provided or download the app. Smarty Ants). Please take advantage of it and let me know if you have any questions about it. There is also the login information to our resources to our curriculum. The website is Connect-Ed and it give your child access to Spanish Language Arts resources and Math resources. It provides books, games, mini-lessons, and activities that go hand in hand with what we are learning in class. It even has the textbooks we have in class. We are currently using both of these in class as well.
